Donor Relations Officer

Location: Saskatoon, SK

Report to: Executive Director

 

Objective and Scope:

The Donor Relations Officer will lead the development and implementation of fundraising strategies beyond the organization’s signature event, Telemiracle. You’ll focus on major gifts, monthly giving, planned giving, and corporate fundraising, creating a comprehensive development program that strengthens donor relationships, uncovers new funding opportunities, and supports the Foundation’s commitment to “Helping People Every Day.”

 

Responsibilities:

 

Fund Development and Donor Engagement

·      Build, implement, and manage fundraising programs, with a focus on monthly donors, major gifts, and planned giving.

·      Develop strong, meaningful relationships with individual donors, corporations, foundations, and community partners.

·      Create and execute donor engagement strategies that deepen connection and increase long-term support.

·      Actively seek new funding opportunities to diversify streams beyond Telemiracle.

·      Use data and donor insights to drive strategic planning, prospect identification, and donor stewardship.

·      Collaborate with the communications and administrative teams to support campaign messaging and materials.

 

Organizational Strategy and Internal Collaboration

·      Work closely with volunteers, board members, and the Foundation staff to ensure alignment on fundraising goals.

·      Contribute to long-term fund development planning and goal-setting.

·      Bring forward ideas to streamline, modernize, and enhance fundraising infrastructure.

 

Administrative and Reporting

·      Maintain donor records and reporting.

·      Ensure accurate donation processing, tax receipting, and acknowledgement.

·      Track key performance indicators and prepare fundraising reports for internal and board use.

 

Requirements:

Education and Experience:

·      Proven success in fundraising, donor relations, or fund development.

·      Experience in building donor pipelines, major gifts, and planned giving strategies.

·      CRFE designation is an asset.

·      Experience working in a not-for-profit or mission-driven organization.

·      Familiarity with CRM systems or database management.

 

·      A valid driver's license is required.
